Three wonderful children.

Owned and showed a small string of Arabian horses on the Class A circuit internationally. Rode to Canadian National Top 20 and US National Top Ten in Ladies' Sidesaddle/Supreme Legion of Merit.

Certification With Distinction from the Royal School of Needlework. This led to a most rewarding international teaching career with a specialty in traditional English goldwork.


My nursing studies have held me in good stead in caring for my mother, grandmother and, most recently, a friend.

I am very much looking forward to our reunion!

I am now residing in Fairfax, VA still teaching precious metal embroidery internationally and thriving as a docent at the Folger Shakespeare Library.

I am currently a member of the faculty of the Smithsonian Institution Studio Arts program teaching the history and execution of medieval through early modern English precious metal embroidery. I am also updating the database for the Folger Shakespeare Library's collection of 16th and 17th century embroidered book bindings.

My husband, Joseph, and I moved to Ohio as of 3/2/20 to be near our so, Nicholas and grandson Bruce. After two, glorious days of childcare we ad to self-distance. The best laid plans as they say...

I am still working on commissions for the Folger and once the global pandemic situation eases will be back to teaching beginning in San Francisco.
