One of my memories of Kay is her hair all teased with sometimes a little bow clipped in the front poof. We were connected more through youth group than through CHS. I remember her mother, Delphine, and that they had a chair in their livingroom where I recall all the furniture was covered in plastic ecept for this chair that had a little sign that read "reserved." Kay was sweet, loved to laugh..could easily cry...I know she married but after 1965 I lost touch with her.
Right after I got married in 1975. My husband and I moved into the Cedarbrook Hill Apts. down the street from the high school. I met this girl who lived down the hall from me named Kay Kowit. One day I was in her apartment and saw Kay's yearbook picture on a table. I said "I know her, that's Kay Prager". We looked at each other, I said Elaine Griffin, we both burst out laughing! I got to know Kay very well. She was very sick with lupus, she had a very tough time. I was glad that I got to know her, she was up beat through it all. Her passing was very sad! RIP Kay
