John was one of the boys from my neighborhood. We were friendly and on occasion doubled dated in my senior year. When my Dad got into his 80's he wasn't quite as sharp as he had been. His home needed some work and one guy who offered was certainly going to fleece Dad. Dad was about ready to accept when I convinced him to allow me to get it all checked out. Though John and I maintained no contact following HS, I knew he was ,or had been in the trades. I got hold of him thru another friend and he came through with some honest contractors to help out my Dad. That fits my definition of friendship for sure. ------ George Trapp
