Hi Aaaron, Am sure you got your present, and I was taught a lesson about stealing. Was just reporting in on what Roy told me in 2023 so I guess he lived further from you than I'd thought. (just skittering down York Rd a bit). There was a music store on Old York Rd - not record store. Of course the record store on High School was a famous place for listening - it was how I turned into a teenager with my own ideas about music . And yes it was Ellis who manned the store and listening booth. And as long as we are on High School Rd don't forget the Village Store, (denim shirtwaist dress with a peter pan collar, red stitching and webbing belt all for the grand price of $18.00). ( Margie Kolsky worked there when we were in high school). For those of us who went to Ogontz Junior high school for 9th grade, at least for me, it was the record store, The Village Store, and Farber's Drug Store that were my sometimes go- to after a hard a day of ignoring Mrs Zimmerman's algebra class. Back to Old York Rd. When did the Chuckwagon open? I think around 1955?
