Jimmy and I got together after I returned to Philadelp0hia to start medical school in 1967. He was into wood working and he made some custom book shelves for our new apartment as a wedding gift. He was in a good place in his life. A few weeks later he died unexpectedly. I will never forget the funeral and the Shiva. Jimmy was the first one of our age that I remember dying.
Jimmy was my first date. He was just sweet. In 6th grade we went to the Yorktown and saw the movie, Love Me Tender. He bought me 2 pics of Elvis and then took me across the street to the pharmacy, I think it was Sousann's..maybe not..but I remember thinking I should order by price and had a rootbeer ice cream soda. He just asked me if I was sure that that was all I wanted. So, he will always have a special place in my heart and memory.
